Casual Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer

Lavender Composites is an innovative advanced composite materials supplier with in-house equipment/technology allowing it to value add for its clients. The business has an immediate opportunity available for a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate mechanical engineering student on a casual basis. Hours can be flexible to accommodate study hours. Initial time commitment would be 15 hours per week, and this could be varied based on the work required to be completed, the experience of the student, and student study/exam commitments. The business is located at Wacol.

The successful candidate must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Tasks

Multifaceted work including design and fabrication of special purpose machinery, CAD modelling, CNC programming

Prerequisites

Excellent attention to detail
Solidworks modelling experience
Machine design experience
Motivated and willing to learn
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Drivers licence and own transport

Viewed favourably

Hands on experience with machinery
CNC programming experience
FEA experience
